About us

How to join

Try a few sessions first, pick the membership that suits you, then sign up through Triathlon Ireland in a few minutes.

Try before you join

Anyone considering joining the club can try out one swim, one bike and one run session before signing up to see what it is like and have a chat with members. It is necessary to get in contact with hello@3dtri.ie beforehand to confirm with the coach and to ensure you are covered by the insurance.

Already a member? Renewing for 2027

Opt in to auto-renewal through the pop-up in your Triathlon Ireland account by Sunday 1 November 2026. See how renewal works.

Without Full Membership, racing in a Triathlon Ireland sanctioned event needs a One Day Membership for that event, only valid within Triathlon Ireland's jurisdiction. For races abroad, check the organiser's membership and insurance requirements.

2027 membership opens on 4 November 2026. If you join before then, you join for the 2026 membership year, valid until 31/12/2026. From 4 November, joining or renewing gets you 2027 membership, valid until 31/12/2027.

Training sessions are either free, or kept to a minimal cost, e.g. coached swim classes or coached run sessions. All sessions are subsidized using the membership fees. See the Triathlon Ireland membership types and the outline of insurance cover.

Renewing your membership (2027)

The club has opted in to Triathlon Ireland's auto-renewal for 2027. Key dates:

Sunday 1 November 2026: 2026 membership closes, last day to opt in or out of auto-renewal
2-3 November 2026: auto-renewal payments are taken
Wednesday 4 November 2026: 2027 membership opens for everyone else

Opting in to club auto-renewal also auto-renews your Triathlon Ireland membership: it is not possible to auto-renew the club membership on its own. You renew at your current Triathlon Ireland membership type and price, plus the €80 club membership.

To opt in: log in to your Triathlon Ireland account, select the memberships in the pop-up and click Save.
To opt out: from your Triathlon Ireland profile, click Opt out next to the relevant membership. No payment will be taken for it, and you can renew manually from 4 November.

For questions about auto-renewal, contact the Triathlon Ireland membership team at autorenewal@triathlonireland.com or yourmembership@triathlonireland.com, or email us at hello@3dtri.ie.
